Dr Abdelrahman Mohamed Elnafie is a senior Advocate and Legal Consultant and advises on dispute resolution, commercial law, tax, corporate law, employment and HR. He worked as a Legal Consultant in the Sudan Attorney General, Formerly headed the Legal Department at Tadamon Islamic Bank in Sudan and worked as a Senior Partner in the international Law Firm Dentons. He performs mainstream corporate and commercial work, including real estate, privatisation and project work involving the drafting of commercial transaction documents both in English and Arabic. He was a senior Oman law adviser to Dentons' legal team, which provides consultancy services to the Government of the Sultanate of Oman in relation to the privatisation of Oman Electricity and Desalinated Water Sector. He was the advisor to Oman Government working closely with the World Bank Group in the project of promulgation of a new Foreign Investment Law to replace existing Law. He also advises banks, companies and individuals on dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration under ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, GCC and ad hoc arbitrations. He has been practising law in Sudan, Oman and internationally since 1981, and has arguably the most comprehensive knowledge of the commercial laws (as they are applied and interpreted by Courts) existing among lawyers practising in the field today
Author of the first book on the subject of commercial agencies under Oman Law. The book was published by Sultan Qaboos University, and is being used as a text book by students studying Oman Law, and by post graduate students
